Mel & Adele

Everything about AYA Yoga Teacher Training has exceeded my expectations. I now feel so much more confident and I’m excited to be able to step out and start teaching, knowing that I have the skills, knowledge and understanding, to provide safe, and enjoyable Yoga classes.

Despite starting a couple of weeks late into the course, the flexibility offered and the support of Mel and other teachers, enabled me to catch up, while continuing my day job. I have learnt so much, so much more than I had imagined, and that speaks to the calibre of all the teachers and the program itself.

The content covered, combined with exceptional teachers really supported me to understand the depth of Yoga, from philosophy, anatomy and physiology, Sanskrit, and asana, while also teaching us to be aware of the responsibilities that come with being a teacher, to not only be able to apply and impart the knowledge, but to be aware of the need to adhere to the core principles, Yama’s such as Ahimsa – to do no harm.

I met so many beautiful and inspiring people – they say, “birds of a feather flock together” and that is true of AYA. The culture, people and the space is incredibly nurturing, professional, and welcoming. I always felt that each and everyone us, truly mattered; that we were always being supported and encouraged for success.

If, like me, a yoga teacher training course is on your bucket list – there has never been a better time to gift yourself a lifelong understanding of yoga, so that you are then empowered to spread the knowledge, wisdom and joy of yoga through teaching others. The skills you learn as a yoga teacher are not just about teaching poses, they actually teach you how to live a more balanced and harmonious life. AYA has taught me that yoga is a key ingredient for living a spiritually fulfilling life.
